With six races and three different series in 15 days, the JCM team has been busy. Campbell started off the streak May 21stwith a win in the 10c machine at 81 Speedway. Memorial weekend the e85 team represented for Ethanol and the King family at RPM Speedway in Hays, Kansas and
the Steve King Memorial ASCS/NCRA event in Jetmore, Kansas. With 40 plus cars in attendance each night, Campbell recorded a solid weekend with a 5th place finish Friday night, followed by a 4th and a 6th on Saturday and Sunday. “Winning in the 10c was awesome of course, especially
getting the team together this early in the season,” said Campbell. “And the ASCS/NCRA shows are always such crazy events point-wise because of all the extra cars and variables, so I was really happy to have such a strong weekend. Racing with drivers like Brian Brown, Jack Dover, and Brady Bacon really pushes you.”

This past weekend saw the familiar black 10c machine in action at World of Outlaw events in the Kansas area. Campbell made the main event both
at the Belleville Highbanks, and Lakeside Speedway, despite competing with a 360 ci motor. “Racing with the Outlaws again was great, I would have liked to have a 410 so I could compete more, but it was great to be back at that level of competition again.”

Coming up Campbell will be competing in the 10c at 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas Saturday June 11. Upcoming fan events include a
car show June 18th, and appearance at Wichita’s Lawrence Dumont Stadium for a Wichita Wingnuts event. For more information about Jeremy

Five races into the 2011 race season things are beginning to
jell for Jeremy Campbell and the JCM 10c and e85 King Racing teams. Coming off
one of the most exciting races of the season, Jeremy Campbell heads into this
weekend’s 81 Speedway event ready for a win.

Campbell finished strong this past Saturday at Dodge City
Raceway, after starting 10th in the main event. Only nine laps into
the a-feature Campbell was closing in fast on 4th place when Brady
Bacon flipped and collected the e85 car. Fast work from the King Racing team
got the Ethanol ICM Maxim back on track, and once again Campbell was on a
mission. Tearing through the field Campbell was able to bring the battered
sprint home in 5th position.

Campbell will be competing in the Scott’s Well Service,
Dan’s Cycle, Plenert Excavating #10c Saturday at 81 Speedway in Park City,
Kansas. For more information visit www.jeremycampbell.net Thanks for your
support of our team!

Jeremy Campbell and the team along with Danny King and the e85 team attended the 81 Speedway / NCRA awards banquet this past weekend in Wichita, Kansas. Jeremy accepted awards for both Championships along with awards for winning the Rookie of the Year honors in both divisions.

“It’s a great honor to accept the awards and start my season as defending champion. We have such a good group of racers and friends here in Kansas and I’m looking forward to another competitive year!” said Campbell.

Jeremy Campbell wins the Championship at 81 Speedway in Park City Kansas! Thanks to everyone that made this year possible, including Dan’s Cycle, Scott’s Well Service, Radio Shack of Derby, XMP Graphics, Speedway Motors and the great people who helped with the team at the track. Two more races to go with NCRA and hopefully we’ll be celebrating another Championship!!

Michigan native Jeremy Campbell was voted the 2000 360 Rookie of the Year by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame. Ten years later he’s leading the points for Rookie of the Year locally at 81 Speedway in Wichita, Kansas and with the National Championship Racing Association, a Midwest-based 360 Sprint Car Series. He’s also leading the championship points with both groups and ran more than 300 World of Outlaw events in last 10 years. It’s been a long road.

“To go from running the full 410 WoO schedule, then race 15 410 shows in two years, then start racing a 360 sprint car for points locally is a huge adjustment,” said Campbell. “But there’s something to be said for sleeping in your own bed at night.”

Campbell spent seven of the last ten years traveling the country with everything from the Gumout Series to the All Stars, and the World of Outlaws. At only 17-years-old he went on the road with a family-owned team and competed against the best drivers and race teams out there. “Trailers don’t win races, but ones stocked with new motors, new cars, and new parts sure gives you an advantage,” explained Campbell. “When you own your own team you are paying everyone but yourself, and even though I was living my dream, it’s wears on you after awhile. I was living out of my toter-home and struggling to get from race to race.”

In 2008 Campbell sold the team and spent two seasons racing for car owners in the Michigan and Ohio area. “I ran one race the whole 2009 season, it’s just happened to be the last one of the year and a pretty big one. Ron Gorby, who had supported us for years, called me up and invited me to race his car at the World of Outlaw Show at Lowe’s Motor Speedway. We came down with the smallest trailer there and ran 12th which was pretty exciting,” said Campbell. “I knew when I moved to Kansas in 2010 I wanted to get back into racing, I just couldn’t figure out how to make it work.”

In early 2010 things finally came together, and Campbell got a phone call from Danny King, owner of the e85 Ethanol 360 Sprint Car, with an offer to race the full NCRA schedule. Then, with leftover parts and the help of father-in-law Dwight Schroeder, Campbell was able to put together his own 360 to run locally in Wichita. “Everything kind of fell into place,” said Campbell. “Both cars have been running good and it’s like I was never out of the seat.”

Campbell is currently leading the points at 81 Speedway and with NCRA, and says he’s enjoying the new situation. “The people we race with are great,” said Campbell. “I’m doing what I love, finally making some money, and feel like my life is a little more normal now. The time I had with the Outlaws was great, and the experience definitely comes in handy at new tracks. I’d still love to run a 410 now and then, but just to be racing again is a dream come true.”

Rain this past Saturday at 81 Speedway has changed the race schedule once again. The July 24th race that was cancelled has not been rescheduled yet. Thanks for checking back!
